Pamela Bob is a versatile, charismatic actor and singer, with extensive experience spanning theatre, film, and television. Her magnetic, witty stage presence in comedies such as Hand to God and A Gentleman’s Guide to Love and Murder on Broadway regularly garners acclaim from audiences and critics alike. Pamela brought to life the iconic rookie FBI agent Clarice Starling in the cult hit Off-Broadway premiere of Silence! The Musical, a raucous parody of The Silence of the Lambs, named by Time Magazine as one of ten must-see shows in New York City. This past season, she performed in Clue with Paper Mill Playhouse.
In dramatic roles, Pamela flourishes through her emotional and detailed character development, shining in both new pieces and classical works. She received the Best Actress Award from “Talkin’ Broadway” for her striking turn in the musical relationship-drama, People Like Us, a role in which composer Todd Almond wrote specifically for her. Additionally, Bob won a New Hampshire Theater Award for her work as Ellie in George Bernard Shaw’s Heartbreak House, striking the delicate balance between pressing cultural issues and light comedy in her portrayal of the conflicted, upper-class woman.
Pamela’s glittering, expressive voice and warm, folksy storytelling garnered her praise and the award for Best Actress in a Musical for her role as June Carter Cash in Wildwood Flowers. Other favorite theatre credits include The Extraordinary Ordinary at Clurman Theatre, How to Save the World…In 90 Minutes at New World Stages, Sweeney Todd at the Alpine Theatre Project & The Glacier Symphony Orchestra, Little Shop of Horrors, You’re a Good Man, Charlie Brown, Picasso at the Lapin Agile, and People Like Us with Peterborough Players. She also appeared in The Full Monty with Alpine Theatre, I Love You, You’re Perfect…Now Change at Cincinnati Playhouse in the Park, Good Ol’ Girls at Cape Fear Regional Theatre, Bookends at NJ Repertory Co., and Company at Barrington Stage Company.
An award-winning screenwriter, Pamela’s original series, , Livin’ On a Prairie, is a witty, surprising, and earnest exploration of one woman’s obsession with Little House on the Prairie, and how her love of the program infects her daily life. The show was an official selection of the Tribeca TV Festival, HollyWeb Fest and Lift-Off Fest, and won best TV series at the LA International Film Fest. Pamela’s trademark intensity and comedic timing won her the Best Actress award at the LA International Film Fest, her other television and film credits include guest appearances on The Today Show, Good Ol’ Girls, Bridezilla and the title role in One Day, Maureen. Pamela was also a featured Co-Host on AMC’s Date Night.
In addition, to live performance, Pamela recorded a well-received solo-album: Pamela Bob Sings the Mandel and Lydon Songbook. Other featured recordings include Meet John Doe with Ensemble Broadway Records, and NEO: New, Emerging, Outstanding! with Jay Records. Pamela earned a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Acting from the University of Cincinnati’s College Conservatory of Music.
